I love how the red is in contrast with the other colours of the picture, it makes them stand out more and gives them emphisis. The lime green eye shadow draws me straight to her eyes, and her lips as well. Her face shows great emotion, wether that was intended or not. She seems worried or unsure. Which of course makes me want to figure out why. Overall the colouring of the background and clothing add to the impact of the photo and helps draw the eye to the places it should go. And, of course, by not putting her in the centre of the frame it makes the shot more interesting and is following the rule of thirds.
